For the Sr. Digital Designer position at Kids II we are looking for someone with an enormous amount of creativity, imagination, drive and business savvy that is looking for a chance to lead the growth of digital design within the Marketing Creative Team. Someone who can jump in and lead projects from concept to completion and deliver high quality creative results... a creative who is comfortable designing for print or digital, but especially passionate about creating on-brand, dynamic solutions for the digital space. Interested in the day to day duties?
Lead the creative development and implementation of all digital media executions for Kids II’s ongoing digital marketing initiatives
Develop intuitive user experience designs for various platforms and devices
Produce from concept to completion, interactive design assets, including animations and other forms of dynamic graphics
Design responsive and dynamic websites that are on-brand, and hand off production ready assets to development team
Develop a style guide and training for all digital assets that clearly outlines the purpose, specifications and guidelines for the execution of digital media projects
Set creative direction for digital assets library and extend brand and digital guidelines across all new creative digital projects
Produce digital design assets for Kids II’s retail.com partners
Outline project timing, budget, specifications and resources for projects
Coordinate and direct outside vendors as necessary and communicate effectively to teams
Take ownership of all projects, verifying the purpose and details of projects, outlining responsibilities, following-up with project initiator and content providers as necessary, leading execution and ensuring that project is within budget and all deadlines are met
Follow brand guidelines and project specifications and maintain consistency throughout all projects
Make recommendations on quality standards improvements, cost control measures and team processes adjustments on an on-going basis
What’s your background?
Bachelor’s Degree in Visual Arts, Graphic Design, Interactive Design, UX or related degree with 5-8 years’ experience in the design field
Exceptional knowledge of current design industry best practices, skills and trends for digital design and passionate about staying informed on the future of interactive media, as well as digital technologies and trends
Proficient in Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Pinterest, and Google+
Ability to educate and train others on the process for digital asset production
Detailed understanding of social media marketing and interactive design and an ability to deliver high quality designs and user experiences
Experience designing responsive and dynamic websites – both for mobile and tablet
Some knowledge of HTML, CSS, Flex, Flash and HTML5 knowledge
Experience designing mobile apps for both iPhone and Android
Responsive email marketing design experience
UI/UX design experience for various platforms and devices
Strong digital prototyping skills
Experience with Adobe Creative Suite
Strong creative thinker with the ability to design highly creative work that effectively communicates the various brand messages to consumers
Detail-oriented mindset that can developing compatible creative design solutions based on the necessary platform and deliver production ready files to developers
Effective communicator with the ability to sell and defend ideas and design decisions
Capable of working with cross-functional teams to execute ideas and maintain excellent follow-through
Strong time management skills, organized and detail-oriented
Ability to work well under pressure, manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines consistently and champion projects from concept to completion within a fast paced environment
Receptive to constructive feedback and offers alternate solutions when challenged
Strong knowledge of design principles and understand the value of design and brand within the business context
Ability to understand and translate brand and business strategies into successful creative assets
